Flu Facts

Flu season is in full swing, here are a few reliable resources that may help you and your family get through it. 

The site flu.gov, is managed by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and provides information about prevention, symptoms and treatment.  Vaccination locations can be viewed with this interactive Vaccine Finder map.  If you are a teacher or school administrator, here are tips for reducing the spread of germs in the classroom. 

The Center for Disease Control provides a weekly report of areas affected by the flu on Flu View.

New Year, New Item Alerts!

Did you know that you can receive email or RSS alerts when new items arrive at the library?  All you need to do is go to the New Book alert page and enter your email in the subscription box if you want to receive emails when new books arrive at the library.  You can also choose to receive RSS alerts if you prefer to use a feed reader (ex: Google Reader, NewzCrawler or FeedDemon).
